Description: This qualification reflects professional accounting job roles in financial services and other industries. Individuals in these roles apply solutions to a range of often complex problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They apply initiative to plan, coordinate and evaluate their own work and guidance to others within defined guidelines.

Licensing/Regulatory Information Work functions in the occupational areas where this qualification may be used are subject to regulatory requirements. Refer to the FNS Implementation Guide Companion Volume or the relevant regulator for specific guidance on requirements.

This qualification includes units that comprise an approved Tax Practitioner Board (TPB) course in Australian taxation law and commercial law. Persons seeking registration with the TPB should check current registration requirements with the Board.

About: This course runs for 2 days per week on Monday and Tuesday. Outside of class times you will be expected to undertake around 10 hours per week study and homework. This will include assignments, exercises and readings.

Volume of Learning

Your learning commitment for this qualification is a minimum of 430 supervised hours.

Recognition is the process by which you can demonstrate you already have the skills or competencies taught in a unit or qualification. It is the recognition of the skills, knowledge and experience you have gained through previous studies, work and life in general. Put simply, it means if you can demonstrate you already have the skills and experience you can complete partial or a whole qualification without needing to attend classes.

There are two types of Recognition:
• Credit Transfer, which allows you to receive credit for unit/s of competency previously successfully completed.
• Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which is an assessment process of your previous skills, knowledge and experience to meet the requirements of the course you are enrolled.
